Small and medium-sized firms played a major part in Hamburg's
manufacturing community. One such firm, Carl Wild's metalware
factory, produced thousands of badges, medals and brooches.
Along with other Hamburg firms, its clients included ship-builders such
as HADAG, sports and dance clubs, and the Reichskriegsministerium
(the Third Reich's Ministry of War). Partially reconstructed,
a major installation will re-create the complex ensemble mechanism
of this factory in exemplary fashion, giving equal scope to working
conditions, company history and their wide range of products.
